Literary works now accepted for this year’s Godage Awards

The annual Godage Literary Awards, organised by S. Godage and Brothers Publishers, is to be held next September. The organisers of the event are now calling for literary works, published last year, for consideration of the awards. The closing date will be March 31.



Awards will be presented under the following categories:



* Best Novel (Sinhalese, Tamil and English)



* Best Short Story Collection (Sinhalese, Tamil and English)



* Best Poetry Anthology (Sinhalese, Tamil and English) and



* Best Youth Literary Work (Sinhalese)



Well-known book publisher Deshabandu Sirisumana Godage launched the awards presentation in 1993 and this year’s festival will be the 13th one.



The organising committee requests writers and publishers to submit three copies each of their work, under relevant category, to the awards coordinating office at the Godage Publishers, No.675, P. D.
